Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator in the Sacramento area to own daily field safety on major commercial projects and drive incident numbers down.

Impact

  • Keep a visible safety presence on active sites and remove hazards before they hurt anyone.
  • Reduce recordables by making hazard recognition part of daily routine.
  • Keep sites compliant with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and California requirements.
  • Build safety accountability among crews, subcontractors, and project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections, document findings, and close corrective actions.
  • Enforce site-specific safety plans.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, new hire orientations, and ongoing training.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses with root-cause methods.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and regulatory documentation.
  • Integrate safety requirements into construction sequencing with project management.
  • Walk sites physically, including ladders and confined areas.

Must-Haves

  • Field safety experience on commercial construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and Cal/OSHA.
  • Ability to train and coach crews.

Nice-to-Haves

  • OSHA 30 or OSHA 500.
  • Mechanical or MEP trade background.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Field-based in the Sacramento area.
