Location: Union City, CA 94587
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Duration: 1 year with potential for extension
Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Non-CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Union City. This is a hands-on position that combines local route delivery driving with warehouse responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a strong driving background, warehouse experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely handle physical work. When drivers return from their delivery routes, they will assist with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, organizing, and moving products.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workday and is comfortable working both independently on the road and as part of a warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
Follow established delivery routes and safely transport products to assigned customers.
Communicate with routing/dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, arrivals, and equipment issues.
Load, unload, assemble, and organize customer orders.
Use a hand truck and other equipment to safely complete deliveries.
Place products in designated storage and account-specific areas.
Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery location.
Address customer concerns related to shortages, breakage, spoilage, or incorrect products and communicate issues to the appropriate team.
Collect payments when required and maintain accurate delivery and route records.
Identify potential business opportunities or customer needs and communicate them to the sales team.
Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the vehicle, products, and equipment.
Report accidents, traffic violations, equipment problems, or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor/dispatcher.
Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, DOT requirements, and applicable alcohol/beverage regulations.
Upon returning from delivery routes, assist with warehouse duties and other assigned tasks.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, as required and authorized.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

At least 1 year of relevant driving and/or warehouse experience.
Experience operating a commercial or delivery vehicle.
Ability to meet applicable DOT certification requirements.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 56 lbs.
Ability to work comfortably in a physically demanding warehouse and delivery environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.

Preferred

Previous delivery driver and warehouse experience.
Experience with GPS/navigation systems and knowledge of local delivery areas.
Forklift experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office or other workplace software.
Strong problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with beverage, distribution, or wholesale products.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent physical activity, including:

Walking, standing, bending, reaching, squatting, and stooping.
Frequently lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, and pulling products weighing up to 56 lbs.
Sitting and operating a vehicle for extended periods.
Operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift, when authorized.
Working at heights of 8 feet or greater when required.
Working additional hours during peak periods, including October, November, and December, as business needs require.

Foot protection is required. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory; steel-toe boots are preferred.
