A day in the role
Morning kicks off on the shop floor where you review incoming raw materials and vendor-supplied components. As production gets underway, you move between work cells—checking machined and welded parts, verifying assemblies, and examining sewn pieces—before final checks on finished goods head to shipping. Between walk-throughs, you’ll document inspection results, update QC reports and work orders, and touch base with the Engineering Manager to align on any nonconformances or drawing clarifications.

- Sewn parts
- Finished goods
- Materials received from outside vendors
Tools you’ll use (skills required)
- GD&T interpretation for dimensions, datums, and tolerances
- Advanced inspection and gauging techniques
- Blueprint and technical drawing reading
Collaboration & documentation
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to resolve issues and confirm specifications
- Complete QC reporting and maintain accuracy on work orders
