Temporary (LOA Coverage 3 months) We are actively seeking a Temporary Payroll Clerk (Certified Payroll) to join a well-established construction-focused organization that values accuracy, reliability, and employee support. In this highly visible role, you will take ownership of payroll processing and certified payroll reporting while ensuring compliance with prevailing wage requirements and regulatory standards. - REQUIRED!!: 2+ years of Certified payroll processing experience, preferably within construction or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting certified payroll reports.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements, union payroll practices, and certified payroll compliance standards.
- Ability to work efficiently with payroll software systems; experience with Penta Technologies is highly preferred.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and payroll reconciliations.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Process weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports through systems including LCP Tracker, DIR, eComply, LAUSD, and related compliance platforms.
- Maintain payroll records, earnings, deductions, garnishments, retirement contributions, and employee documentation.
- Enter and update employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and compensation updates.
- Monitor compliance requirements for prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting on active projects.
- Coordinate and maintain compliance documentation required for new job setups and ongoing reporting obligations.
- Generate, review, and distribute weekly payroll and certified payroll reports to internal stakeholders.
- Process off-cycle payrolls, missed-time checks, and payroll adjustments as needed.
- Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries and assist in resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
