A healthcare organization outside of Redding, CA is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join its laboratory team.

Position Highlights\n

\n
• Full-time | 4 x 10-hour shifts

\n

• Monday–Thursday | 2:00 PM–12:30 AM

\n

• Starting at $50/hour + benefits

\n

• Work across Hematology, Transfusion Service/Serology, Chemistry, Microbiology & Urinalysis

\n

• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory instrumentation

\n

• Strong focus on bench microbiology, including cultures, organism identification and susceptibility testing

\n

• Communicate STAT, urgent and critical values effectively to care providers

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• California CLS license required

\n

• Graduate of an accredited CLS program with internship

\n

• 5+ years of progressive healthcare experience

\n

• Strong microbiology experience, including: \n
  \n
  • Gram stains and rapid strep testing

  \n

  • Anaerobic and routine culture setup

  \n

  • Positive blood culture processing

  \n

  • Plate reading and sub-culturing

  \n

  • Organism identification and susceptibility testing

  \n

\n

• Comfortable performing QC and troubleshooting across multiple laboratory departments
