Role Description The Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role based at 1010 Wine and Events in Inglewood, CA. This role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Day-to-day duties include setting up and breaking down the line, ensuring ingredients are properly prepped and stored, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The Line Cook will collaborate closely with the kitchen team to manage ticket times, support special events, and adjust to varying levels of service volume. The role also involves following food safety and sanitation procedures, monitoring inventory levels, and communicating effectively with team members and front-of-house staff to deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience.

- Strong culinary skills in basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating, with attention to detail and consistency.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including line setup, station management, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience as a line cook or in a similar back-of-house restaurant role preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to hospitality and supporting a positive guest experience that aligns with the 1010 Wine and Events brand.
- Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
