Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Whittier, CA, responsible for managing escrow transactions from opening through closing. This role includes preparing and reviewing escrow instructions and related documents, balancing files, coordinating signings, and ensuring all conditions are met prior to closing. The Escrow Officer will communicate daily with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties to answer questions, obtain required information, and resolve issues. Duties also include handling disbursements, verifying payoffs, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The role requires consistent attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.

Qualifications

- Experience managing escrow transactions, including Escrow processing and Closings for residential real estate files.
- Ability to perform Notary services and oversee document execution in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Residential Real Estate practices, terminology, and standard contracts commonly used in real estate transactions.
- Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive client matters.
- Proficiency with escrow and title software systems and general office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar).
- High level of accuracy, organization, and time management to handle multiple files and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with state and local escrow regulations and compliance requirements; prior experience in a title or escrow environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional real estate, finance, or legal coursework or certifications are a plus.
- Must have an established portfolio of active customer relationships and a demonstrated ability to leverage those relationships to drive new business.
