About the job
The Mechanical Assembler builds precision electro-mechanical products and mechanical
subassemblies by following established assembly instructions and procedures.
What you'll do
● Assemble precision electro-mechanical products and mechanical subassemblies
● Use various hand tools and power-assisted assembly tools
● Operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment
● Stage production parts and manually install components such as key tops, switches, levers,
and wires
● Monitor the quantity and quality of parts throughout production
● Visually inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
● Identify defective products and return them to Production for reworking
● Pack finished products
● Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment
● Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and operating
procedures
