Warehouse Forklift Driver Duties

  • Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and barcode scanning equipment to load and unload shipments.
  • Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using order picker equipment and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal safety and functionality.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols during all materials handling tasks to prevent accidents.
  • Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing stock in designated areas and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and proper ergonomic techniques to protect yourself and team members.


Warehouse Forklift Driver Requirements

  • Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and lift trucks.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management software.
  • Familiarity with safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling best practices.
  • Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring loads, and verifying shipment quantities.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving processes, order picking, load & unload procedures, and materials handling.
  • Warehouse or distribution center experience preferred; certification in forklift operation or related equipment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines consistently while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
