Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field
- 2 or more years of hands-on electrical technician experience in machine building, automation, or capital equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings
- Experience with electrical panel wiring, machine wiring, and component installation
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, AC/DC power, motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits
- Experience with prototyping and electromechanical assembly within a production work environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for control-related systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional project teams alongside engineering and manufacturing personnel
Responsibilities
- Build, wire, assemble, and test electrical systems for custom automation equipment and industrial machinery
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical drawings to guide assembly
- Install and terminate electrical components including circuit breakers, relays, contactors, power supplies, sensors, motors, and control devices
- Troubleshoot electrical and control-related issues during equipment assembly, testing, and system commissioning
- Support machine startup and functional testing while maintaining accurate operational documentation and test records
