About the Position: The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient and elevated service, strong team performance, and guest satisfaction. This position is hands-on and requires a high level of organization, leadership, and problem-solving ability. The AGM must be proactive, adaptable, and ready to assist in all aspects of service and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless and high-quality guest experience.
- Lead FOH staff, ensuring adherence to service standards, hospitality expectations, and company policies.
- Train, mentor, and develop employees, fostering a positive, professional team environment.
- Support the General Manager in hiring, scheduling, and labor management.
- Oversee and support service flow, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail in guest interactions.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
- Address guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery efforts in a professional manner.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, labor laws, and internal policies.
- Work with the General Manager and Chefs to ensure FOH and BOH collaboration.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in full service restaurant setting
- Previous fine dining restaurant experience preferred with enthusiasm to learn and ambition to grow
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced service environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Ability to manage financial responsibilities, including labor cost control and inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast preferred), reservation systems (OpenTable), and scheduling software (Sling).
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- California Food Handler’s Card and RBS certification required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand / walk for extended periods of time
