A long-established commercial HVAC contractor is seeking a Sales Engineer to help drive growth across Southern California. This organization has decades of experience providing engineering, construction, service, maintenance, and BIM-driven HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial facilities. The company is recognized for its expertise in complex mechanical systems, energy-efficient building solutions, and LEED-focused projects.
This role is ideal for someone who combines technical HVAC knowledge with strong relationship-building and business development skills.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, facility managers, engineers, and general contractors
- Identify and pursue new commercial HVAC construction, retrofit, and service opportunities
- Evaluate customer needs and develop tailored mechanical system solutions
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and project presentations
- Collaborate with engineering, preconstruction, and operations teams throughout the sales process
- Assist clients with budgeting, value engineering, and system selection
- Manage projects through contract execution and maintain long-term customer relationships
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC sales, mechanical contracting, building systems, or engineering
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical construction
- Experience selling construction, service, controls, energy, or maintenance solutions preferred
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and mechanical drawings
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and capable of developing business independently

Compensation
- $75,000 - $100,000 Base Salary
Commission / Bonus Opportunity
Expected OTE: $140,000 - $200,000+
