Unit Details:
Performs diagnostic X-ray and CT examinations for Emergency Department, inpatient, outpatient and surgical patients. Responsibilities include portable radiography, operating room imaging support, fluoroscopy assistance as assigned, noncontrast and contrast-enhanced CT, CT angiography, trauma and stroke imaging, IV contrast administration, patient screening, venipuncture where qualified, image transfer and documentation. Night-shift technologist must be able to work independently, prioritize emergent examinations and communicate critical workflow concerns appropriately.
Equipment:
Digital radiography equipment, portable X-ray units, C-arm fluoroscopy equipment, multidetector CT scanner, power injector, patient monitoring equipment, contrast emergency supplies, Carestream PACS and Medhost EHR. Equipment-specific orientation will be provided.
