EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION PARALEGAL
West Hollywood, CA or Irvine, CA Offices
Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote for Exceptional Candidates
A growing California litigation practice is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex employment law matters. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative legal team focused on employee advocacy and workplace disputes while working in a fast-paced and rewarding litigation environment.
The position is based in West Hollywood or Irvine with flexibility for hybrid schedules and potential remote arrangements for exceptional candidates with highly relevant experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support attorneys through all phases of employment litigation from intake through resolution.
- Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in state court, federal court, and arbitration proceedings.
- Draft discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, declarations, and related litigation documents.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, settlement conferences, and attorney client meetings.
- Maintain litigation calendars and track deadlines under California and federal procedural rules.
- Monitor court rules, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines.
- Organize pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and case files.
- Assist with hearing preparation, trial preparation, and settlement support.
- Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel, and litigation vendors.
- Maintain accurate case records and support attorneys in managing active litigation matters.
- Schedule attorney meetings, court appearances, depositions, and client communications.
- Ensure timely filing, service, and tracking of litigation documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum three years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
- Employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
- Experience with discovery, depositions, calendaring, and case management.
- Familiarity with state court, federal court, and arbitration filings.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professional and client-focused approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and legal case management software.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
EDUCATION
- Paralegal Certificate required.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
