This opportunity seeks a licensed pharmacist to support an outpatient pharmacy in Redwood Valley, CA. The position involves filling and verifying prescriptions, overseeing pharmacy technicians, and counseling patients on both prescription and over-the-counter medications. The role requires working day shifts and is available on a contract basis for a duration of 16 weeks or longer, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and verify prescriptions in an outpatient setting
- Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians
- Counsel patients regarding prescribed and OTC medications
- Utilize Cerner pharmacy IT systems for documentation and workflow
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Experience in retail pharmacy preferred
