We have an exciting opportunity for a Lubrication & Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team in Poway, CA!

The Lubrication & Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the upkeep, reliability, and performance of manufacturing production equipment. This entry-level role focuses on performing routine lubrication, coolant management, and basic preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    \n
  • Perform routine lubrication of machinery and equipment according to established schedules
  • \n

  • Monitor and maintain proper oil, grease, coolant, and other fluid levels in production equipment
  • \n

  • Conduct coolant/cooler fluid checks, including concentration, condition, and contamination levels
  • \n

  • Perform coolant exchange (drain, flush, and refill) on machines and systems following standard procedures
  • \n

  • Assist in preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on manufacturing equipment
  • \n

  • Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, overheating, or abnormal fluid conditions and report findings
  • \n

  • Replace filters, clean reservoirs/tanks, and remove sludge or buildup from coolant systems
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and lubrication records/logs, including coolant service history
  • \n

  • Follow safety procedures for handling, mixing, and disposing of oils, coolants, and chemicals
  • \n

  • Support maintenance technicians and mechanics during repair and equipment servicing
  • \n

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S or similar standards
  • \n

  • Identify opportunities to improve lubrication and coolant management practices for equipment reliability
  • \n

Job Qualifications

    \n
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • \n

  • Technical training or coursework in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus
  • \n

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • \n

  • Familiarity with lubricants, coolants, or industrial fluids is a plus (training provided)
  • \n

  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and maintenance schedules
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • \n

  • Basic computer or data entry skills preferred
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • \n

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40-50 lbs
  • \n

  • Comfortable working around machinery, fluids, and industrial environments
  • \n

  • Ability to climb ladders and access equipment as needed
  • \n

  • Exposure to moving machinery, oils, coolants, and varying temperatures
