Hines Building Services (HBM) is looking for a dedicated Janitor to join our facilities team! If you are someone who is dependable and has janitorial experience, please read the full job description and apply.
Under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, you’ll help keep a school campus clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This is a part-time position with possibility of becoming full-time. You will get the chance to make a positive impact every day! The hours are Monday - Friday, 6pm to10pm or 5pm to 9pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning: sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Restock supplies including soap, paper towels, sanitizer, and other dispensers.
- Complete carpet cleaning and floor care projects, including strip & wax and deep floor maintenance.
- Support special cleaning projects and routine inspections.
- Ensure a safe, sanitary, and healthy environment by following disinfecting protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with floor care equipment (preferred).
- Must be able to use backpack vacuum
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable using personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, safety glasses).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, stoop, stand, walk for periods of time and stay active during shift.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass a federal background check (LiveScan) and TB test.
