Manufacturing Associate I

Pay: $23.50-$25/hr, based on relevant experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM; once fully trained, start-time flexibility between 6:00-8:00 AM

Duration: Contract-to-hire potential

\n
This is a hands-on laboratory manufacturing position supporting the manufacture and testing of diagnostic products in a regulated environment. The role primarily involves fluorescence-based assays, staining microscope slides, and visually evaluating slides under a fluorescence microscope using both manual methods and automated tools.

What You'll Do:
\n

- Perform fluorescence-based assays and stain microscope slides according to established procedures
- Evaluate stained slides under a fluorescence microscope, using visual judgment to interpret results
- Operate manual and automated laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Participate in the preparation and evaluation of in-process components, reagents, and raw materials
- Maintain accurate manufacturing records and other required documentation
- Operate and clean equipment and maintain a clean, orderly laboratory work area
- Follow SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety procedures, and applicable quality and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot routine issues and contribute to quality and process improvements
- Work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with manufacturing and support teams as needed

What We're Looking For:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biological sciences, or a related life sciences field required
- 0-1 years of life sciences laboratory experience; college microscopy coursework or hands-on academic microscopy experience can qualify
- Prior fluorescence staining experience is not required; experience in a regulated life sciences or healthcare manufacturing environment is preferred
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices and procedures; familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices is helpful
- Strong visual attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Comfort working with subjective results and gray areas where interpretation and judgment are required
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills
- Ability to work well independently while also collaborating with a team
- Curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to learn new techniques and processes

The role requires the ability to visually inspect scientific data, use pipettes and other laboratory equipment, work while standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs. No routine travel is required.

Interview Process:
\n
After a BioPhase screening, candidates will complete one 60-minute onsite interview with the hiring manager and group lead. The interview will also include a lab tour and an opportunity to meet available team members.
