Are you a licensed Professional Land Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a collaborative, employee-focused consulting firm? We're seeking multiple Senior Project Surveyors to support a diverse portfolio of surveying and mapping projects throughout California.
This is a primarily office-based role that offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor emerging professionals, and contribute to major infrastructure, transportation, utility, land development, and public works initiatives. Following onboarding, team members enjoy a flexible hybrid schedule with two days in the office and three days working remotely.

What You'll DoTechnical Survey Leadership
- Lead survey efforts on complex civil engineering, infrastructure, transportation, and land development projects.
- Serve as a technical expert for survey calculations, methodologies, and best practices.
- Review and process field-collected survey data.
- Prepare and oversee production of:
- Topographic maps
- Boundary surveys
- ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
- Legal descriptions
- Construction staking packages
- Ensure exceptional accuracy and quality control across all survey deliverables.
Project Management
- Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
- Monitor project scope, budgets, and timelines.
- Obtain permits and coordinate project requirements.
- Manage multiple active projects while ensuring successful project execution.
Team Development
- Mentor and train survey technicians and junior survey professionals.
- Provide guidance on survey calculations, drafting standards, and surveying procedures.
- Support field crews with technical expertise and project-related problem solving.
Client & Business Support
- Build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Participate in project meetings and communications.
- Assist with proposals, fee estimates, and project planning activities.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and long-term client partnerships.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
- Active California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License
- 7+ years of professional land surveying experience
- Strong office surveying experience
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience producing survey calculations and processing topographic field data
- Demonstrated experience preparing:
- Boundary Surveys
- ALTA Surveys
- Topographic Mapping
- Legal Descriptions
- Staking Calculations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Surveying, Engineering, or related field
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- LSIT certification prior to obtaining PLS
- Experience with Trimble technologies
- MicroStation experience
- Revit exposure
- Utility, infrastructure, transportation, or public works surveying experience
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
