This position focuses on supporting a mild to moderate SDC (Special Day Class) in a vibrant school environment, providing direct instruction and individualized support to students who need it most.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential
- Experience or training in mild to moderate disability settings
- Passion for creating inclusive, engaging learning environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to fostering student success and meeting Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to students in a mild/moderate SDC class
- Adapt curriculum and lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Implement IEPs and document student progress toward individualized objectives
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities
- Cultivate a supportive and positive classroom culture that encourages student growth
