This contract position, situated in the vibrant San Mateo area, runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, providing support to two Middle School Resource Specialist Program (RSP) caseloads. With two openings available, you'll collaborate in a dynamic environment dedicated to student growth and learning.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Education Specialist Credential with Mild/Moderate authorization required
• Experience working with middle school students in a Resource Specialist (RSP) setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, specialized instruction, and accommodations
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students on two RSP caseloads, ensuring access to general education curriculum
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and modify strategies to best support student success
• Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Employ effective classroom management techniques and promote positive behaviors
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and provide accommodations/modifications as needed
