Step into a dynamic contract opportunity providing essential physical therapy services for infants as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position offers the chance to impact young lives through compassionate, skilled intervention while collaborating closely with professionals from a variety of specialties, including teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and specialists in vision and hearing.
This role focuses on delivering in-home physical therapy support to approximately 37 infants, ensuring families receive personalized and effective care during a critical developmental period. Coverage is needed for a maternity leave from October 19 through April 2, making this an excellent opportunity for a dedicated PT professional seeking a rewarding, temporary assignment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) with experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Comfortable providing services in clients’ homes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to facilitate collaboration with the Infant Team (teacher, SLP, OT, VI, DHH)
- Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate interventions
- Adaptability and organizational skills to manage the needs of a diverse caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized physical therapy sessions to infants, supporting developmental goals in a home environment
- Work closely with families to educate, guide, and empower effective carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and contribute to progress reports as required
- Participate actively in team meetings and case reviews to ensure cohesive support for each child
- Adapt intervention strategies in partnership with other service providers to optimize outcomes
