Roles & Responsibilities:
The entry-level Helper/ Installer assists our glaziers with glass installations and provides in-shop support including stocking, cleaning, and organizing vehicles, receiving deliveries, checking in glass products, and keeping shop clean and safe. Training is provided. Schedule is four 10-hour days per week, no weekends. MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD. NO DUIs.
- Thoroughly inspect job materials, ensuring the product(s) are the correct size & style, and that there is no obvious product damage or flaws on product(s) required to complete job(s)
- Safely and securely load required job materials to installation vehicle(s), including redundant materials, tools, safety equipment etc...
- Conduct yourself respectfully with co-workers and customers at all times.
- Upon arrival at customer’s home, greet customer politely, assist glazier to validate the work to be completed, the product(s) to be installed, and installation location(s).
- Assist glazier to install all products and perform all services included in the work order, troubleshoot, and strive to resolve any installation problems that might occur on-site
- Communicate with relevant team members regarding incomplete work, ensuring that any new materials are ordered, the cause of the go-back can be discerned, and support glazier in managing customer expectations accordingly.
- Take care of the customer's home/business, ensuring we leave it cleaner than when we found it. Use booties, drop cloths, etc...
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials have been removed from customer's home and safely secured in company vehicle.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
- Experience/proficiency with hand-tools, drills, saws, fasteners, ladders
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- All candidates must pass initial background check and drug test. Valid license to drive, and a clean DMV record. NO DUIs
- Candidates must be physically capable of performing work, in good health, with the ability to lift up to 75lbs. unassisted
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred Skills:
- Residential glass replacement including single/double pane window glass, shower enclosures, mirrors, mirrored wardrobe doors
- Construction experience
- Effective troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to use a smart phone and learn our customer management system on your phone for daily jobs/payments
- Hardworking, motivated, with excellent organizational and time-management skills
