Job DescriptionSocial Worker (MSW)
Location: Torrance, CA 90503
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $55 – $58/hr
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday coverage
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments.

Develop and coordinate safe discharge plans.

Provide crisis intervention and emotional support.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams.

Connect patients and families with community resources and post-acute services.

Assist with referrals to healthcare and social service programs.

Advocate for patient needs and continuity of care.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning.

Follow hospital policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.

Minimum 2 years of acute hospital social work experience required.

California MSW/LCSW preferred.

Pending California license may be considered if applicable.

Strong psychosocial assessment and discharge planning skills.

Crisis intervention and care coordination experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Must be available for every other weekend and holiday coverage.

First-time travelers are not accepted.

Strong documentation and organizational skills.
