Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active or eligible licensure for practice as a COTA in California
- Previous school-based COTA experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Enthusiasm for supporting students with varied abilities
- Experience with digital documentation systems is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in the development and implementation of student treatment plans and goals
- Document services, progress, and observations in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Collaborate with educators and related staff to support student access, participation, and achievement in the school setting
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEPs, and help adapt classroom environments to student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
