Compensation: $235,000–$365,000/year + Excellent Benefits
Direct Counsel represents a leading Am Law 100 firm seeking a talented Junior to Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated Commercial Litigation Practice in Los Angeles.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex business disputes for a diverse range of clients, including national and multinational companies and leading professional services organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis.
- Manage traditional and electronic discovery.
- Assist with or take and defend depositions.
- Prepare for and participate in court proceedings before state and federal courts.
- Develop litigation strategies and work directly with clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups and offices on complex commercial disputes.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience at a mid-size or large law firm preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with pleadings, briefs, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Active California Bar membership and good standing required.
- Federal clerkship experience is a plus.
