Location: Los Angeles, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Experience: 3–5 Years
Compensation: $235,000–$365,000/year + Excellent Benefits

Direct Counsel represents a leading Am Law 100 firm seeking a talented Junior to Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated Commercial Litigation Practice in Los Angeles.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex business disputes for a diverse range of clients, including national and multinational companies and leading professional services organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis.
  • Manage traditional and electronic discovery.
  • Assist with or take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare for and participate in court proceedings before state and federal courts.
  • Develop litigation strategies and work directly with clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups and offices on complex commercial disputes.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience at a mid-size or large law firm preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience with pleadings, briefs, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Active California Bar membership and good standing required.
  • Federal clerkship experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
