About the Role
Premier Fuel Delivery Service is hiring experienced CDL Class A Fuel Tanker Drivers for our Upland and Fontana operations.
We are looking for professional, safety-focused drivers with recent retail fuel delivery experience who are experienced with tanker operations, fuel loading, and deliveries directly to retail gas stations.
This is a local, home-daily position with both AM and PM opportunities available. Drivers must be flexible to report to and operate from either our Upland or Fontana yard based on operational needs.
PM positions are available.
PM Start-Time Window: Approximately 2:30 PM–3:30 PM. Drivers must have some flexibility with start times based on operational needs and potential delays from the previous shift.
Rotating Schedule:
- 5 days on / 2 days off and 5 days on / 3 days off
- Weekend availability is required as part of the rotating schedule
Additional hours and overtime may be required based on operational needs.
IMPORTANT FUEL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Applicants must have at least 1 year of recent CDL Class A fuel tanker experience delivering gasoline, diesel, and/or other fuel commodities directly to RETAIL GAS STATIONS.
Retail fuel delivery experience is a required qualification.
Qualified applicants must also have:
- Minimum 3 years of CDL Class A driving experience
- Valid CDL Class A with current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Experience operating 8-speed and 10-speed manual transmissions
- Experience operating Tanker & Trailer (T&T) and Semi equipment
- Acceptable driving record
- FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse eligibility
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with fuel delivery
- Ability to use ELDs, electronic BOLs, mobile dispatch systems, and other driver applications
What You'll Do
- Safely transport and deliver gasoline, diesel, and other fuel commodities to retail gas stations and assigned customer locations
- Safely load petroleum products at approved fuel loading racks and terminals
- Operate Class A tanker equipment, including T&T and Semi configurations
- Load and unload petroleum products in accordance with DOT, hazmat, environmental, and company safety procedures
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Accurately complete BOLs, delivery records, inspection reports, and other required driver documentation
- Maintain consistent communication with Dispatch throughout the shift
- Complete assigned routes safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Provide professional service at customer locations
- Follow all company safety procedures and federal, state, and local transportation regulations
Yard & Equipment Requirements
Drivers will support operations from both Upland and Fontana, California and must be willing and able to switch between the two yards based on business and operational needs.
Premier currently operates CDL Class A equipment for these positions. Candidates must have relevant experience with:
- Tanker & Trailer (T&T)
- Semi equipment
- 8-speed and 10-speed manual transmissions
