Our team combines individualized wellness planning with innovative therapies in functional, naturopathic, integrative, and regenerative medicine. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our clinical team. This position is well suited for an LVN who values meaningful patient relationships, enjoys hands-on clinical care, and is eager to continue learning in an evolving area of medicine. Our practice regularly explores new treatment modalities, technologies, clinical protocols, and developments in regenerative medicine. The selected candidate will have opportunities for ongoing education, hands-on training, and exposure to emerging therapies. We are looking for someone who is curious, adaptable, and excited to learn and grow alongside the practice. Position Overview The LVN will work closely with the provider to support high-quality patient care, treatment preparation, patient education, documentation, inventory management, and daily clinical operations. This is a flexible hybrid position that includes some remote administrative responsibilities, in-clinic patient care in North County San Diego, and opportunities to assist with concierge clinics and specialty treatment events throughout California and occasionally in other locations within the United States. Travel assignments may include local day trips, multi-day treatment events, or occasional clinic assignments lasting one to two weeks. Work schedules will vary based on patient volume, treatment dates, provider availability, and concierge clinic schedules. Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability are essential. What This Role Offers Meaningful, relationship-based patient care in a personalized wellness practiceOngoing education and exposure to new clinical modalities and treatment protocolsHands-on experience in naturopathic, functional, integrative, and regenerative medicineOpportunities to learn about IV nutrient therapy, peptides, laser therapies, regenerative procedures, and advanced wellness protocolsDirect collaboration with the provider and involvement in individualized treatment planningOpportunities to assist with specialty treatment events and concierge clinicsA flexible hybrid work environmentThe opportunity to learn, take on additional responsibility, and grow with an innovative healthcare practice Primary Responsibilities Direct Patient Care Welcome and room patients while maintaining a warm, professional experienceObtain and document complete vital signsCollect and review relevant medical history, medications, allergies, and supplementsPerform focused patient intake and document chief concernsPrepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatmentsObserve and monitor patients before, during, and after treatmentRecognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the providerProvide attentive and compassionate nursing support throughout each visitReinforce aftercare instructions and follow-up recommendations established by the provider IV Therapy and Clinical Procedures Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collectionInitiate and monitor IV therapy as authorized by California law, provider direction, clinic protocols, and the LVN’s certifications and demonstrated competenciesPrepare and administer ordered IV nutrients, medications, injections, peptides, and related therapies within the LVN’s legal scope of practiceAssist the provider with regenerative medicine procedures, PRP-related treatments, laser therapies, ozone-related treatments, injections, and other wellness procedures within scopePrepare procedure trays, treatment supplies, and clinical equipmentMaintain sterile or aseptic technique as appropriateFollow infection-prevention, medication-safety, and emergency-response protocolsMonitor for adverse reactions and immediately notify the provider when concerns arise Laboratory and Diagnostic Support Collect, label, process, and prepare laboratory specimensPrepare specialty laboratory kits and outside laboratory ordersConfirm that specimens are stored and transported appropriatelyTrack pending laboratory results and follow up on missing reportsOrganize laboratory reports for provider reviewPrepare patient charts and relevant clinical information before appointmentsAssist with coordinating laboratory testing, imaging, and outside referrals Patient Education and Communication Under provider direction and using established treatment plans and educational materials: Reinforce treatment instructions and care plansExplain IV therapy and injection schedulesReview supplement and medication instructionsReinforce lifestyle, nutrition, and home-care recommendationsReview preparation and aftercare requirementsExplain expected follow-up timelines and treatment-day proceduresConfirm patient understanding and communicate unresolved questions to the provider The LVN must remain within scope and should not independently diagnose, prescribe, or create treatment plans. Clinical Documentation Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical recordsDocument focused nursing observations and patient-reported informationRecord treatments, medications, injections, and IV therapies administeredComplete procedure and treatment documentationDocument relevant patient communication and follow-upMaintain HIPAA compliance and strict patient confidentialitySupport accurate and timely chart completion Clinic Operations Prepare and reset treatment roomsClean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment according to clinic protocolsMonitor medical supplies, medications, and clinical inventoryIdentify low-stock, expired, or damaged itemsAssist with ordering and organizing clinical suppliesSupport quality assurance, infection prevention, and safety proceduresMaintain compliance with applicable OSHA standards and clinic policiesHelp develop and improve clinical workflows, checklists, and standard operating proceduresSupport an organized and efficient daily clinic flow Patient Coordination Assist with scheduling treatments and follow-up appointmentsCoordinate laboratory testing, imaging, and outside referralsRespond to patient questions that fall within the LVN’s scopeRelay provider-approved recommendations and instructionsCoordinate treatment logistics with clinical and administrative team membersHelp ensure that required forms, laboratory results, and treatment preparations are completedProvide responsive, concierge-level service throughout the patient’s experience Concierge Clinic and Travel Support When participating in concierge clinics or specialty treatment events, responsibilities may include: Providing direct clinical patient careAdministering and monitoring ordered IV therapiesSupporting patient intake and documentationPreparing treatments, procedure trays, and equipmentManaging supplies and clinical inventoryAssisting with clinic setup and breakdownCoordinating daily patient flowSupporting the provider during proceduresFollowing travel-clinic safety, documentation, and inventory protocols Additional compensation and travel arrangements will be determined based on the assignment’s location, duration, schedule, and responsibilities. Weekly hours are expected to vary based on clinic needs, patient volume, treatment schedules, and travel assignments. *Part-time 20 minimum, to 25 hours a week with the possibility to build to Full-time Compensation Starting compensation: $40 to $45 per hour Final compensation will be based on nursing experience, certifications, clinical competencies, travel expectations, and assigned responsibilities. Additional compensation may be available for concierge clinics, travel assignments, extended treatment days, and specialty events. Travel expenses, accommodations, and assignment-specific compensation will be discussed in advance. Work Location The practice is currently located in San Marcos, CA but may be moving to another location within North County San Diego. The LVN must be able to report to the clinic for scheduled patient-care days and travel to other locations when assigned.
