𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲
\n
You will be the person who keeps key products on point with Statistical Process Control, lifts first-pass yield, and takes cost out of the process. Our client is scaling a first-to-market advanced-materials platform across two Bay Area sites, and their customers are semiconductor manufacturers who are exacting about every raw material and every process step. That means your control charts actually matter to somebody.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲
\n
• You have run batch chemical processes in a real plant or pilot facility, not only at a bench
\n
• You are comfortable around flammable solvents and corrosive chemicals, and you take process safety seriously
\n
• You like being close to the floor and to the operators, not two buildings away
\n
• You want a site where you can still shape how the process gets run, rather than inheriting a decade of decisions
\n
• If you want a mature plant with every process already dialed in, or you would rather not work around industrial chemicals, this is not your role
\n
\n
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘄𝗻
\n
• Statistical Process Control on critical processes, and the response when something goes out of control
\n
• Root cause on out-of-control products and other failures, driven through to corrective action
\n
• Nonconforming Material Reports end to end, with repeat occurrences designed out
\n
• Periodic statistical reports to customers
\n
• Corrective Action Request support to Quality Assurance on customer complaints tied to batch manufacturing
\n
• Work instructions for existing products
\n
• Process equipment troubleshooting, with Management of Change discipline alongside Maintenance and Production
\n
• The equipment and instrumentation calibration program
\n
\n
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿
\n
• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. A Master's is a plus
\n
• 3 or more years in a process engineering role
\n
• Hands-on batch chemical process experience in a production or pilot-plant setting. Lab-only, analytical-only, or purely academic research backgrounds are not a fit for this seat
\n
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodology, comparable to a Six Sigma Green Belt
\n
• Comfortable working around flammable solvents and corrosive chemicals
\n
• Permanent US work authorization. This client does not sponsor, now or in the future

• Fremont, California. Fully on-site, Monday through Friday
\n
• Batch chemical manufacturing on a brand-new, fast-scaling advanced-materials platform
\n
• Two Fremont sites: an existing production plant, plus a larger second site being built within a two to three mile radius
\n
\n
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
\n
• Base salary range $78,906 to $118,358, plus a performance bonus
\n
