Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Logistics Yard Coordinator to support daily yard operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying shipment information, recording trailer movements, ensuring load accuracy, and maintaining accurate records. This role is critical to keeping freight operations organized, efficient, and compliant with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify trailer numbers and ensure accuracy of all yard records.
- Record incoming and outgoing trailer information in company systems.
- Confirm load details against shipping documents and manifests.
- Conduct visual inspections of trailers for proper identification and condition.
- Coordinate trailer locations within the yard and maintain yard inventory.
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse personnel, and dispatch teams regarding trailer movements.
- Monitor dock activity and assist in scheduling trailer assignments.
- Ensure all freight and load documentation is complete and accurate.
- Track and report discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged freight.
- Maintain organized records of shipments, trailer movements, and yard activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other logistics and transportation-related duties as assigned.
