VDS is recruiting a sourcing leader for a defense-technology company standing up high-rate production of an air-vehicle family at a new manufacturing campus. You will build and lead the team that secures every part the line needs.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of product sourcing engineers and subcontract managers.
- Set supply strategy for continuity, quality, cost and scale-up.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and resolve trade-offs with engineering, program and finance.
- Reduce bill-of-materials complexity and supplier count.
- Manage capital spend, new product introduction and tariff exposure.
What you bring
- 8+ years in manufacturing supply chain or production, including 5+ years leading people.
- A bachelor's in supply chain, engineering or a related field; MBA or MS preferred.
- Clear communication from the shop floor to executives.
Nice to have
- Defense, aerospace or automotive production experience.
- Leading large teams while staying hands-on.
