Afternoon start times, a day cab with an automatic transmission, and store deliveries across Southern California make up the work on this Target local fleet out of Fontana, CA. When the shift is done, you head home. Freight comes preloaded, and you handle a multi-stop, driver-monitored offload at Target stores. It's a good fit for experienced CDL-A drivers who want local work on set lanes.
Lane Details:
- Based in Fontana, CA
- Deliveries to Target stores throughout Southern California
- Occasional loads to Las Vegas, NV
- Set lanes averaging 1,400 miles a week
Schedule:
- Home daily
- Start times between 12pm and 5pm
- Shifts are 6 days a week, including weekends
- Drivers typically work 10-12 hours per day
- You commute to the yard daily in your own vehicle
The Work:
- Preloaded freight
- Multi-stop, driver-monitored offload
- Offload limited to 28 ft trailers
- Manual pallet jack and lift gate
Equipment:
- New day cabs
- All trucks have automatic transmissions
- C.R. England runs one of the newest fleets in the country
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
- Reliable transportation to commute to and from work
