Make a meaningful impact each day as a full-time Physical Therapist supporting K-12 students in a dynamic and engaging school environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly onsite across multiple school locations, providing essential services to students at various educational stages.
As a key member of the educational support team, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to help students achieve their mobility and functional goals, fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Your work will contribute directly to enhancing students’ school experiences and overall well-being.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Graduate of an accredited PT program
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Comfort working with K-12 student populations
- Ability to travel between several school sites as required
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Deliver direct therapy services across various school sites, adapting to student schedules and locations
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Maintain accurate records and report on student outcomes as required
- Provide training and support to school staff regarding mobility and physical development strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
