Quality Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing
We are seeking a Quality Engineer for a precision aerospace manufacturing company in Irvine. This position requires practical experience using Statistical Process Control (SPC) or statistical analysis in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing data, trends and process variation.
- Perform SPC and process-capability studies using Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk.
- Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
- Support AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
- Investigate nonconforming material and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA/Gauge R&R and PPAP documentation.
- Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and Inspection to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Hands-on SPC or manufacturing statistical-analysis experience.
- Understanding of process capability, including Cp and Cpk.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with nonconformance investigations, root-cause analysis or corrective actions.
- Aerospace, AS9100/AS9102 and First Article Inspection experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
Training will be provided on company-specific products and procedures; however, candidates should already possess a solid quality or manufacturing foundation.
Position Details
- Location: Irvine, California
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Pay: $30.00–$42.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Position: Full-time, onsite, temp-to-hire
