Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Jose, CA. This position supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining store standards. The Assistant Store Manager helps lead the sales team, provides coaching and feedback, and ensures a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers and team members. The role involves assisting with scheduling, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting initiatives to increase sales and profitability. Additional responsibilities include promoting excellent customer service, supporting loss prevention efforts, and helping to implement company policies and procedures.\n

  • Customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to creating positive shopping experiences.
  • \n

  • Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
  • \n

  • Store Management experience, including supervising staff, handling daily operations, and supporting sales performance.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to help protect company assets and ensure a safe store environment.
  • \n

  • Previous retail or customer-facing experience, preferably in apparel, footwear, or specialty retail.
  • \n

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, such as coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, retail management, or related fields is a plus.
