Field Operations Manager – Janitorial Services

About the Position
All City Janitorial Services is looking for a reliable, professional, and highly organized Field Operations Manager to oversee and support our commercial cleaning accounts throughout the Los Angeles area.
This is a hands-on field position, not a desk-only management role. You will regularly travel to client locations, inspect the quality of our cleaning services, communicate with employees, meet with clients, address issues, and help ensure every property is being serviced according to our company standards.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates well, notices details, and is comfortable working directly with both employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit commercial client locations throughout the Los Angeles area
- Perform routine and surprise quality-control inspections
- Inspect janitorial work and ensure cleaning standards are being followed
- Identify missed areas and document corrective actions
- Communicate directly with cleaners, leads, and supervisors
- Speak professionally with clients and property managers
- Follow up with clients regarding service quality and concerns
- Help resolve service complaints quickly and professionally
- Verify employees are arriving on time and completing assigned shifts
- Monitor employee attendance, clock-ins, and clock-outs
- Assist with employee call-outs and coverage when necessary
- Train and coach employees on cleaning procedures and expectations
- Take photos and prepare inspection/quality-control reports
- Conduct walkthroughs of new and existing properties
- Communicate supply, equipment, and maintenance needs
- Report operational problems directly to management
- Help ensure employees follow company safety procedures
- Maintain professional relationships with our clients
- Assist management with improving overall service quality and account retention
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional when speaking with clients
- Comfortable managing and communicating with employees
- Detail-oriented and able to identify cleaning deficiencies
- Able to handle problems without constant supervision
- Organized and able to manage multiple locations
- Comfortable using a smartphone for communication, photos, scheduling, and reports
- Able to work independently while staying in communication with management
- Comfortable driving throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred
- Previous janitorial, facility management, property management, hospitality, or field operations experience is preferred
Important
This position requires regular travel between client locations. The Field Operations Manager will serve as one of the main connections between our office, our cleaning teams, and our clients.
We are looking for someone who doesn’t simply point out problems—they help make sure problems get resolved.
