Job Description

FisHouse is hiring experienced Servers who know how to read a table and keep a section running like clockwork. If you thrive on fast-paced shifts and genuinely enjoy taking care of people, we want to hear from you.

Pay: $16.90/hour plus tips

Location: 101 E Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

About the Role

You'll own your section from the moment guests sit down to the moment they leave full and happy — walking them through the menu, timing courses well, and catching what they need before they have to ask. It's a team effort, so you'll be in constant sync with the host stand, bar, and kitchen throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Walk guests through the menu and make thoughtful recommendations on food, drinks, and specials
Take orders accurately and enter them into Toast POS system without delay
Time food and drink delivery well and check back on tables throughout the meal
Catch dietary restrictions, special requests, and other details before they become problems
Handle payments and checks accurately and with care
Stay in close communication with the kitchen and bar to keep tickets moving
Reset and maintain tables and service stations throughout service
Loop in a manager for any guest issue that needs extra attention

What We're Looking For

Experienced server required
Solid menu knowledge and the confidence to make recommendations on the spot
Comfortable juggling multiple tables during a full rush
Clear communicator with strong guest-facing instincts
Dependable, on time, and easy to work alongside
Comfortable being on your feet for a full shift and lifting up to 30 lbs
Open availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Both full-time and part-time schedules are available - we'll work out shifts together based on your availability and our staffing needs.
