SkillSetGroup is seeking an experienced Design Project Manager based in the San Gabriel Valley, CA area. This position will be working hands-on project manager for various commercial/QSR construction projects throughout the Southwest US territory. The ideal candidate must have experience with all store design aspects for ground-up builds within the retail/commercial industry. Extensive experience with entitlements & permitting requirements is also a must. This position does require a 4-year degree in Architecture or related field. This position will require 30-50% travel throughout the Southwest US region. This will also be a DIRECT HIRE role.

- Manage the architectural/design side of multiple new store development projects
- Manage projects from construction documents through construction administration
- Track schedules, milestones, critical paths, scope, and budgets
- Review architectural plans for design intent, accuracy, building codes, ADA compliance, and prototype standards
- Create/review site plans and conceptual drawings
- Work directly with architects, vendors, Construction, and field teams
- Support entitlements and permitting
- Conduct site visits, QC walks, and project/design reviews
- Identify design issues and develop practical solutions with vendors and field teams
- Use AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet
- Manage several complex projects simultaneously

Requirements
\n
- \n
- Seasoned architectural/project management background
- Strong architectural design and construction-document knowledge
- Architect license strongly targeted; candidates actively working toward registration may also warrant review
- Strong experience with entitlements and permitting
- Strong knowledge of building codes and ADA compliance
- Knowledge of structural, civil, and MEP systems
- Intermediate–Advanced AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet
- Strong project-management and multi-project experience
- Must be comfortable traveling frequently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with architects, vendors, construction teams, and field personnel
