D1 TRAINING COACH / PERSONAL TRAINERJOIN AN ELITE COACHING TEAM
D1 Training is not a traditional gym, and we are not looking for traditional trainers.
We are building a team of high-level coaches who understand athletes, performance, accountability, and what it means to lead from the front. Our coaches are expected to bring energy, expertise, professionalism, and an athletic mindset every time they step onto the turf.

D1 Training is an athletic-based training facility serving youth athletes ages 7+, high school and collegiate athletes, adults, and teams.

D1 Coaches implement the D1 training philosophy while creating an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and held accountable. Coaches must be capable of adapting training to the individual while maintaining the energy, structure, and standards expected inside a D1 facility.
This is more than counting reps.
Our coaches teach, motivate, correct, develop, and build relationships with the athletes they serve.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
D1 Coaches are responsible for delivering exceptional training experiences across our Scholastic, Adult, Personal Training, and Team Training programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Coach high-energy athletic performance group sessions
- Coach youth athletes ages 7–18
- Coach adult performance training sessions
- Deliver high-level personal training
- Coach sports teams and athletic groups
- Demonstrate and teach proper strength and movement technique
- Coach speed, agility, strength, power, conditioning, and mobility
- Modify exercises appropriately based on athlete ability and training needs
- Maintain athlete safety through proper technique and movement standards
- Start and finish every training session on time
- Assess athletes and help place them into the appropriate training program
- Track athlete development and maintain accountability
- Build meaningful relationships with athletes and families
- Maintain regular communication regarding athlete progress
- Provide a professional, energetic, and motivating training environment
- Maintain D1 facility and coaching standards at all times
- Deliver industry-leading instruction and education related to athletic performance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- High school or collegiate sports background required
- Previous experience coaching teams, groups, or athletic performance sessions required
- Minimum 2 year of strength and conditioning, sports performance, group training, team training, or personal training experience
- Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification
- Strong knowledge of exercise technique, strength training, movement mechanics, and athletic performance
- Ability to confidently coach multiple athletes simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, professional, coachable, and team-oriented
REQUIRED PERSONAL TRAINING CERTIFICATION
Personal Trainers must hold a nationally recognized certification such as:
- NASM
- NSCA
- CSCS
- Or another comparable nationally recognized and accredited certification approved by management
A recognized certification is mandatory.
ISSA certifications are not accepted for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, or a related field
- Collegiate athletic experience
- Previous strength and conditioning or sports-performance coaching experience
- Experience coaching youth athletes
- Experience working with competitive sports teams
- Experience delivering both group training and one-on-one personal training
- Experience with athlete assessments and performance testing
