This full-time contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with expertise in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Work directly with preschool students, providing tailored educational support and fostering positive development.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold an active California ECSE credential
- Current AAAS (Autism Authorization) credential required
- Experience in preschool (early childhood) special education preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods for students with varied needs
- Skilled in IEP development and implementation
- Compassionate, patient, and energetic approach
- Comfortable collaborating with families, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to preschool students in an ECSE classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs that address individual needs and promote growth
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure holistic care
- Engage families in the educational process through communication and resource sharing
- Maintain organized documentation and progress records, adhering to compliance requirements
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment
