Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Previous experience in a school-based special education setting
- Demonstrated understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities
- Able to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored for special education students
- Manage and review IEPs, ensuring accommodations and modifications are in place
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social and academic development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel
- Engage families as partners in their child’s education, providing regular updates on progress
- Maintain accurate records and stay current with educational best practices
