Position Responsibilities:
\n
\n
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
\n
\n
· Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and other contract documents to understand project scope and requirements
\n
· Perform accurate, thorough electrical takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
\n
· Prepare detailed estimates for new construction, renovations, and ongoing electrical projects.
\n
· Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, installation methods, materials, and industry terminology
\n
· Utilize electrical estimating software to develop accurate and competitive estimates
\n
· Identify scope gaps, potential risks, value-engineering opportunities, and other factors that may affect project pricing.
\n
· Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other industry partners
\n
· Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman, and other members of the operations team.
\n
· Participate in bid reviews and assist with the transition of awarded projects from estimating to project management.
\n
· Track bid opportunities, deadlines, and estimating documentation
\n
· Actively pursue and support new project opportunities
\n
\n
Required Qualifications
\n
\n
· 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
\n
· Knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials and systems
\n
· Experience with electrical estimating software
\n
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
\n
· Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
\n
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
· Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
\n
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications
\n
\n
· Experience with Accubid estimating software
\n
· Electrical project management experience
\n
· Previous electrical field experience
\n
· Established vendor and subcontractor relationships
\n
· Experience developing and maintaining positive client relationships
\n
\n
Professional references are required
