Job SummarySouthern California Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team in a growing, fast-paced, pain management office. This individual must be self-motivated, reliable and caring. Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Assisting physicians in minimally invasive office procedures</li>
<li>Obtain thorough chief complaints, medical history and vital signs</li>
<li>Educate patients on treatments offered</li>
<li>Create radiology orders</li>
<li>Obtain radiology reports from online portals</li>
<li>You may also be expected to perform front desk responsibilities including but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>answering phones</li>
<li>scheduling patients</li>
<li>checking patients in and out</li>
<li>collecting co-pays/deductibles</li>
</ul>

</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Specialty experience preferred</li>
<li>Certified Medical Assistant</li>
<li>Compassionate with good interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to build rapport with patients</li>
<li>EMR proficient</li>
<li>Pain Management experience, fluoroscopy experience desired</li>
