We are seeking a skilled SMT Machine Operator to join our Fremont manufacturing team and support the production of high-quality electronic assemblies.\n
Pay Range\n
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour (actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors). \n
Position Summary\n
\nThe SMT Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) assembly equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This role supports assembly line operations, equipment setup, inspections, and continuous manufacturing performance.\n
Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.

\n

• Perform quality self-inspections of completed work.

\n

• Download assembly and reflow programs and set up equipment for production runs.

\n

• Operate and maintain SMT equipment, including: \n
  \n
  • Solder printers

  \n

  • Pick-and-place machines

  \n

  • Reflow ovens

  \n

\n

• Identify and escalate documentation, material, or manufacturing discrepancies.

\n

• Support production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.

\n

Qualifications\n
Required\n
\n

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent.

\n

• 1-3 years of automated electronic manufacturing experience.

\n

• Experience operating automated SMT assembly equipment.

\n

• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and mechanical drawings.

\n

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

\n

Preferred\n
\n

\n
• Knowledge of Elma backplane products.

\n

• Experience with Hanwha Pick-and-Place equipment.

\n

• Experience with Koh Young inspection systems.

\n

Working Environment\n

\n
• Frequent standing and walking on production floors.

\n

• Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.

\n

• Use of ESD-protective equipment and footwear required.

\n

• Hands-on operation of manufacturing equipment throughout the workday.

\n
