Fashion and Lifestyle Brand is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Primary Logistics to lead our Primary Logistics function during a critical peak-season period.

You will oversee the movement of finished goods from global factories and origin locations to fulfillment centers, ensuring inventory arrives on time, transportation capacity is secured, and operational risks are identified and resolved quickly. You will play a central role in protecting inventory flow, supporting fulfillment readiness, managing transportation risk, and helping deliver a seamless customer experience.

The ideal candidate brings deep international and domestic transportation expertise, strong carrier and freight-forwarder management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through fast-moving, high-impact supply chain challenges.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the Primary Logistics team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and operating rhythms throughout peak season.
- Oversee end-to-end movement of finished goods from global origin locations to fulfillment centers.
- Manage international and domestic freight across ocean, air, and ground transportation modes.
- Partner with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics providers to secure capacity, maintain service levels, and manage cost.
- Monitor shipment flow, transit performance, and delivery milestones; proactively identify exceptions and drive timely resolution.
- Escalate risks affecting inventory availability, fulfillment operations, customer demand, or transportation spend.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Fulfillment, Sourcing, and Finance to align transportation decisions with business priorities.
- Develop and deliver leadership-level reporting on logistics performance, capacity, service, cost, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, partner performance, communication, and exception-management practices.

What You Bring

- Significant leadership experience in primary logistics, international transportation, freight forwarding, or global supply chain operations.
- Strong expertise across ocean, air, and domestic ground transportation.
- Proven experience managing freight forwarders, carriers, transportation capacity, service performance, and freight costs.
- A track record of leading teams and cross-functional stakeholders in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex logistics data into clear business decisions.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, including the ability to provide concise updates on operational performance and risk.
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style with sound judgment and a strong sense of urgency.
