Materials Handler — Max Machinery, Inc.
Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift (production hours generally 6:30 AM–3:00 PM)

About the Role
Max Machinery, Inc. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer looking for a Materials Handler to manage the movement and handling of machined components, raw materials, and finished products throughout our facility. You'll receive, track, move, and store inventory through every stage — receiving, inventory control, and shipping — using our ERP system.
What You'll Do
General
- Follow procedures and work instructions outlined by our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Keep work areas organized and clean
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures
- Take on other duties as assigned
Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments and verify compliance with QMS procedures
- Unpack shipments, inspect items, and reconcile quantities against packing lists and purchase orders
- Record received items accurately and promptly in the ERP system
- Route materials to inspection, stockroom, or designated individuals per process documents or manager instruction
Inventory Control
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain inventory accuracy and organization per QMS procedures
- Package, store, and label inventory safely and clearly for efficient tracking
- Replenish work center bench-stock daily or as needed
- Process ERP transactions for cycle count adjustments and inventory transfers
Shipping
- Package and ship products per daily schedules, prioritizing customer shipments
- Follow shipping procedures to prevent breakage or damage in transit
- Generate shipping documentation (packing slips, labels, etc.) via ERP and shipping software
- Follow up on shipments and coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) as needed
- Provide shipping quotes/rates promptly when requested by sales or purchasing
What You'll Need
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License (Class C)
- 2+ years of materials handling experience, preferably in manufacturing or a machine shop
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in warehouse/stockroom management software and basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Infor Visual) preferred
- Familiarity with shipping manifest software (UPS WorldShip®, FedEx Online Shipping, DHL Express Online Shipping) preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Self-motivated with solid understanding of material handling safety protocols
- Comfortable operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment (certification training provided)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive hand motions; occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs
- Fast-paced warehouse/production environment handling small to medium machine parts and raw materials; PPE required
- Equipment used includes ladders, pallet jacks, hand trucks, utility carts, and forklifts (training provided)
