The Medical Assistant/Receptionist plays a vital role in supporting a large administrative team by managing front desk operations and providing comprehensive clerical support. Reporting directly to the Department Head, this position involves handling confidential information, coordinating appointments, and maintaining smooth communication across departments. The role offers occasional local travel and opportunities for career growth, including advancement to Office Manager and cross-training in other departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk reception duties and greet visitors professionally
- Coordinate scheduling and appointment management using specialized software
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain updated records
- Provide timely customer support and handle correspondence
- Maintain office supply inventory and manage procurement
- Assist with phone management and direct calls appropriately
- Support record keeping and confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with a large administrative team to ensure smooth office operations
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in administrative support roles
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Adept multitasking and problem-solving capabilities
