Food Industry Sanitation Associate
Payrate: $16.90/Hour
Schedule: 10:00PM-6:00AM, Mon-Fri (Must be flexible to work weekends)

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Food Production Sanitation Associate to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary food production environment by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production areas, and food-contact surfaces in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, machinery, utensils, production areas, and restrooms.
Follow established sanitation schedules, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation tools.
Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
Remove waste and follow proper disposal procedures.
Assist with disassembling and reassembling equipment for thorough cleaning.
Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to supervisors.
Follow all company safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and HACCP guidelines.
Complete sanitation logs and other required documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in food manufacturing, sanitation, custodial, or janitorial work is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
Comfortable working in wet, cold, and fast-paced environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Work Environment & Schedule

Work is performed in a food processing/manufacturing facility.
Exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
Must be comfortable working evening and/or weekend shifts.
Flexible availability and willingness to work a varied weekend schedule is required.
