Silvergate San Marcos is looking for a proven senior living leader to take the community into its next chapter of growth. This is a high-visibility role for someone who loves being on the floor with residents and families, knows how to build a strong team, and has a track record of growing census and running a healthy P&L.

What You’ll Do
\n
- \n
- Lead all day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of care, service, and safety
- Be the face of the community for residents, families, staff, and local partners, with a visible, hands-on presence
- Recruit, develop, and hold accountable a leadership team of 10+ department heads
- Partner with sales and marketing to drive occupancy, move-ins, and revenue
- Own the budget: labor, expenses, vendor management, billing, and collections
- Track census, staffing, and financial performance and act on the numbers
- Oversee resident care and services for quality, consistency, and satisfaction
- Resolve resident and family concerns with empathy and sound judgment
- Ensure full compliance with RCFE licensing, state and local regulations, and company policy
- Build a positive workplace where team members feel valued, supported, and heard

What You Bring
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of progressive leadership in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or hospitality, with real ownership of operations, financials, people, and resident experience
- Executive Director experience in a larger senior living community strongly preferred
- A track record of growing census in a competitive or challenging market, including lead conversion, move-ins, and resident retention
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, labor management, expense control, forecasting, and using metrics to make decisions
- Experience leading 10 or more direct reports and building a high-performing culture
- Solid knowledge of senior living and residential care compliance, including identifying risk and implementing corrective action
- A hospitality-driven leadership style and the ability to build relationships with residents, families, physicians, vendors, and community partners
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Comfort with resident management systems, CRM/sales platforms, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, hospitality, gerontology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Current California RCFE Administrator certification required
