Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Relief Valve Technician role located in Benicia, CA. The Relief Valve Technician is responsible for inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and assembling pressure relief valves in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics and testing, documenting repair findings, completing calibration and set pressure adjustments, and preparing detailed service reports. The role involves working in the shop and at customer facilities, supporting field service activities such as removal and installation of valves, and assisting with process control checks to ensure safe and efficient operation. The technician collaborates with team members, follows safety protocols, maintains tools and test equipment, and supports continuous improvement of repair and testing processes.\n

- Candidates should possess skills in Valve Repair, including inspection, disassembly, component replacement, assembly, and testing of relief valves.
- Candidates should possess skills in Field Service, including on-site removal, installation, and commissioning of valves and related equipment at customer locations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Process Control, including understanding of pressure systems, valve sizing basics, and operation within industrial process environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Calibration, including adjustment and verification of set pressures and test stand operation to applicable standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting, including diagnosing valve performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Relevant mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial equipment, piping systems, or rotating machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications, and to complete clear, accurate service documentation.
- Commitment to safety practices, use of PPE, and adherence to OSHA and company safety requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, instrumentation, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Ability to lift equipment as required, work in industrial environments, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and customers.
